What’s your job title?
Organisational Services Administrator

What sort of duties do you have at work?
I handle Smart Green Shipping’s social media accounts and website, create content, and ensure that SGS maintains a social media presence. Aside from that, I assist in a bunch of varied tasks that keep me on my toes!

What has your career path looked like until now?
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, I landed varied roles that helped carve out my unique skillset, from being an assistant Interior Stylist, to administrative and financial services roles. I believe my creativity has helped me become flexible and adaptable in any environment I’m in

What’s your secret to making progress each day?
I start the day by identifying what needs to be done, and I kick it off with a list to organise myself

What motivates you at work?
The team—working with such a great, wonderful, and hardworking bunch—gives me the motivation to do my best

What makes SGS different from other places you’ve worked for?
It is a startup company tackling the climate crisis through great innovation

Who inspires you?
I take inspiration from everyone I come across, as there is always something to learn

What kind of music do you like?
That’s a tough one! I like a balance between upbeat music that I can dance to but also enjoy jazz and orchestra

What’s your favourite food?
It’s hard to pick a favourite, but I love kare-kare and ginataang hipon, which are Filipino dishes. I do enjoy Asian cuisine as well as pasta. However, I’m a sweet tooth, so I prefer desserts over anything else!

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I would say that my face is weirdly flexible (is that considered a talent?)
Before moving to Scotland, I was taking Dancehall and Bachata classes and would love to continue doing so here. I also have a thing for anything creative!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a detective and solve crimes. The only thing I’m solving now is my disappearing snacks

What’s your favourite thing to do on a weekend?
I’m very much a house cat, but I do enjoy going on nature walks and exploring the area with my husband, as I’ve recently moved to Scotland, so there’s so much to see and do!

What’s your favourite season and why?
As I’ve lived in a tropical country my whole life, I am particularly attracted to Autumn for the gorgeous red and orange leaves. Something about it is so magical! Birds are also easier to feed from my hands (which I thoroughly enjoy) as food is scarce. Aside from that, I like the cold, but not too cold. And Spring, as I get to see baby bunnies hopping about!
