Planning, coordinating, compiling scope of work, reports and specifications. Providing technical guidance input and interpretations
What has your career path looked like until now?
Naval Architecture and latterly project manager in technical vessel design
What’s your secret to making progress each day?
Vision and planning to establish and maintain a clear direction
What motivates you at work?
A keen interest in my subject provides the greatest motivation. In an emerging and very exciting industry, facilitating and guiding the right technical decisions to achieve an edge over the competition
What makes SGS different from other places you’ve worked for?
Deeper sense of purpose, coupled with a very technically interesting product
Who inspires you?
Richard Feynman, Scientist and expert witness in the first Space shuttle “accident” investigation. Olin Stephens – master of all thing sail boat design
What kind of music do you like?
None in particular, a wide variety from all eras, I listen over my daughter’s “shoulder” and she mine. We play it loud when we clear up after supper

The Mirror of The Sea - Conrad
What’s your favourite food?
Probably Lasagne and Salad, apple & blackberry crumble
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
Fixing up houses & boats and sailing
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
What I am now, one track mind, sad I know
What’s your favourite thing to do on a weekend?
Making all kinds of stuff, brewing, cooking and DIY. Work on the house or boat and going out for coffee with my wife
What’s your favourite season and why?
None, but I don’t like dull and overcast unless I am on a boat, with a good breeze
